Use of the information technologies as a differential
Without the use of the ITs, GIS@’s actions certainly wouldn’t have so much success, as the use of ITs allowed transparency in the decision and realization of activities; the strategies became wider, entrepreneurial and involved the direct participation of local actors in the planning and implementing of actions; the participants in the project acted as agents of change in the academic community &/or local community; there was a wide involvement of the participants as protagonists of their own transformation and transformation of the community they are inserted at; a set of challenging and coherent practices, with the objective of strengthening and making the learning more effective.
Ultimately, the use of IT tools offered crucial support to the development of content. They were relevant to the activities and served as mediators in the learning environment, providing collaboration between groups, communication, exchange and reflection of the practice.
