Awards

The originality of this project is at the innovative actions performed, which already affected around 29 thousand participants in only two years (2011 & 2012). The project generated several activities, such as the participation in events and the disclosure in companies, in addition of lectures in seminaries and congresses. Beyond that, the GISA project extrapolated specific acting spaces.

The project was part of the Rio +20 exposition, in Rio de Janeiro, “Building the Future we Want – A Pedagogic Project”, which contemplates the good practices applied by the schools associated to UNESCO, reflecting on Education for the Sustainable development and Environmental Awareness.

In two years of acting, received an international award, a national award, and a municipal homage, highlighting itself by the Plans of Action in benefit of the quality of the waters of the River of The Bells and its tributaries:

Winner of the INTERNATIONAL award “Project Earth: Leader and representative of Brazil in the world, for the excellence in environmental projects in the planet/2012” – 1st  place.

Winner of the REGIONAL award “The River of The Bells is ours/2011” – 1st place.

Winner of the MUNICIPAL award for excellence in environmental education/2012

Winner of the award “Innovative Educator – Microsoft/2012”
